Shoji Gridwork or Kumiko

There are a few things that you want to consider when picking a "gridwork" or a "Kumiko" pattern:

  • The first one, of course is what pattern do you visually like the most?
  • The more "dense" your gridwork, the more raw material we have to put into the price of your screen
  • The more "intersections" you have on your screen, the more production complexity we have to put into the price
  • Always feel free to sketch up your own pattern and send us a copy!

    Seattle Custom Shoji Special Features

Although the patterns below do not offer up this level of detail, all of our gridwork is woven together as shown in this picture. That is a detail you might not find at other shoji suppliers.

Although density and quantity of intersections moves cost upwards, the actual pattern does not! So arrange your vertical and horizontal members in any pattern of spacing you want!
